In the IX Region of Chile we find Araucaria trees, the majestic Villarrica volcano, clear lakes, hot springs , cascades and volcanic sand shores with mountains creates a very particular place, Pucon.

 

Pucon is located between mountains, lakes 214 miles approximately from the big city of Temuco . Pucon had its origins from a military camp established in 1883 at the beginnings of the XX century the arrival of German immigrants, the commerce of wood and livestock helped to develop this town. The hotel facilities and the road communicating Villarrica with Pucon allow the arrival of national and international tourist in 1940 attracted by the scenery and abundant fishing in the zone. Today, Pucon is one of the most important destinations of the IX region.

Volcano Villarrica has remained active, with a high of 2,840mt where many people get to ascend to appreciate its beauty and the incredible view at the top.
